Family Projects

I know I have been neglecting 3Guys And A Chick for a few months but I had a good reason! I was working on these cool playhouses for my 2 sons and my nephew. I do not even know where to credit these because they are all over the Internet. I have seen them on Ucreate, Homemade by Jill (both great blogs) and tons of others!   I do have to add that the felt play houses on  http://homemadebyjill.blogspot.com/ were a particularly strong inspiration.  It took quite a while to design, cut and sew each one of these. I wanted each one to be special and unique like the child it was being made for. These are the kind of projects I love to do! Each one was a true labor of love. I could not have done it without lots of help and encouragement from my husband and mother-in-law.

Anderson's has a camping theme. It features a campfire, boat on a lake, and a tree complete with a raccoon and owl.

Colin's had to be all about space. He is into all things space. His has the plants, aliens and a robot with secret pockets. Stars were cut out of the top to add to his theme.

Grey's playhouse was a farm theme. His was the most interactive with corn and apples to pick. Pigs graced one side waiting for someone to play.

Truly awesome! Your boys must be stoked. I would love to make something like that for my kids play area. Approximately how much time did it take you to make each one? Thanks for the inspiration! ;)

It took a solid month to make the 3 of them. Maybe a week on each? The hardest part was narrowing down the ideas. There were so many things I wanted to add but ran out of room! My boys LOVE them!!! Worth all the work!
